The Wedge

The Wedge

The Wedge is a surf spot that has been around for decades. It’s also one of the oldest surfing spots in Newport Beach CA. The Wedge was named after its shape and it lives up to its name by creating perfect waves with steep drops and sharp angles, making it an ideal place for experienced surfers. If you’re not an experienced surfer, don’t worry! You can still go check out the action from shore or even rent a board to try your hand at surfing yourself. This is why we love the Wedge so much – there really is something for everyone here!

Imagine sitting on the shore, watching as large waves roll in one after another. You can feel them crashing against your feet and sending spray up into our faces before dashing onto sand or rock to play havoc with everything around it – leaving us covered in wetness from head to toe! This is what surfing at its finest looks like: adventurous yet fun without any danger involved whatsoever; just raw energy that you’ll want again soon enough once this brief experience is over (but not too much).

The Wedge offers some of the biggest waves in all Newport Beach, so if you’re looking to get your adrenaline pumping or just want something different from what’s offered at more traditional surf spots then come check out our local spot. You’ll have access to 0ne huge selection with its potential for 30-footers on any given day, but there are also other dangers like powerful backwash that can create new sets right when they aren’t expected!

The Wedge is one of the most impressive natural landmarks in all Orange County, and it’s an ideal spot for catching higher waves during summer or fall. If you want to experience what surfing was like before anyone else arrived at this location (and we’re lucky enough not only to see but be part-creator), make sure that when we say ” filming equipment,” your camera gets equipped with some extra batteries because these conditions will produce more power than usual!

The Blackball flag is raised between May 1 and Oct. 31, making it illegal for anyone with a board in their possession to enter the Wedge during those specific hours. Body surfing only! No bodyboards or skimboards are allowed at all (surfboards OK).

The Wedge appeals to both avid beach-lovers and first-timers alike. The sand is soft beneath your toes, you can get up close with beautiful oceanfront homes on the shore or watch boats come in from all around Newport Bay before sunset – what more could one want?
