Facial implants are designed to augment, reconstruct, or rejuvenate your facial contours. They are available in a wide range of sizes and styles and restore contour and/or proportion to your face. Facial implants can be used to augment your chin and jaw, to provide the sculpted cheekbones that you desire, or to supplement the tear trough area.
The Benefits Of Facial Implants
- Improve your jawline
- Enhance the definition and fullness of your cheeks
- Create ideal proportion to your facial structures
- Correct facial asymmetry or deformities from injury or congenital conditions
Where are the incisions placed for facial implants?
Dr. Brennan typically makes the incision inside the mouth for cheek implants and under the chin for chin implants.
How do you ensure the implant is secure and doesn’t move around?
Think of it as a hand in glove. Dr. Brennan creates a pocket (glove) where the implant will fit securely and have no room for movement.
What if I get the implant in and don’t like it?
Implants whether it be facial or breast are the easiest to remove if you don’t like it. With a simple procedure you can choose to have an implant removed at any time.
How long is the recovery period for facial implants?
Implant patients typically do not experience bruising but could encounter minimal and temporary swelling. Our patients typically feel recovered after one week of a facial implant procedure.
