Beauty is especially relevant when we consider our children’s future. Whether we like it or not, beauty can often mean the difference between acceptance and rejection in many situations. Have you ever seen an unattractive prom queen? Some parents have taken this to the extreme and controversy over young girls in beauty pageants has grown. Many feel that these girls are being dressed up to look and act like adults and being made to be “sexy too soon,” all the way from childhood to Mrs. America. Attractive people have more self-confidence and are more successful in life.
Beauty can be defined by a series of lines, angles, curves, contours, and proportions which are referred to as “tenets of beauty.” We study model faces, faces that do not require an education, faces that “earn a living” by merely standing in front of a camera. This is true of the male or female model.
Invariably, the beautiful female model face or the handsome male model face will conform to the tenets of beauty.
If we are not endowed with natural beauty, the mirror and social encounters may undermine our self-confidence. Even if, one is endowed with youthful beauty, time often erodes and is not kind.
Studying youthful and mature male and female faces is a sobering reality check. Cosmetic surgery can often be a simple solution.
PLASTIC SURGERY is a broad field that deals with Reconstructive and Cosmetic surgery. Reconstructive surgery encompasses the ability of the correction of birth defects, burns, and post cancer patients. Reconstructive Plastic surgery can never get the patient back to “normal.”
COSMETIC SURGERY is a field of medicine where the surgeon deals with healthy, well adjusted, “normal,” patients. Cosmetic surgery improves appearance from head to toe. This field is to improve what god and nature bestowed upon the person. The two goals of cosmetic surgery are; 1) create beauty, and 2) rejuvenation. Cosmetic surgery is the area of medicine known as “happy medicine.” It is strictly elective surgery to better ones self-esteem and self-confidence by improving ones appearance. It is safe, quick recovery, minor discomfort, back to normal routine the next day, and also an option to stay overnight in the outpatient facility.
